EXTENDED PAYMENT TERMS?

Who couldn’t use an extra 30 days to pay their bills? How about an extra 50 days? You can get this extra time by using a credit card to pay your monthly statement. Check out this scenario and see if it could work for you.

Let’s say you place four or five orders a month with DuBois Marketing on open account, and the billing cutoff date of your Visa or Mastercard is the 27th of the month. On the 28th, you call us and put your entire balance, all five orders, on your credit card. Since you are past the monthly cutoff date, this payment won’t show up on your statement until the following month, giving you an extra 30 days to pay your bill. On top of that, most credit cards allow a 15-20 day grace period before interest charges kick in, giving you an additional 15-20 days. It’s like an interest-free short term loan.

Additionally, most major airlines offer credit cards that allow you to earn frequent flier miles for your purchases. (There is an annual fee for these cards.) By using this card to pay your DuBois statement, before long you will have accumulated enough miles for a free ticket or two. Those free tickets could then be used to fly to the next Electric Rebuilder’s Association exhibition, where you will be able to save even more money on deals from your suppliers and learn to run your business more effectively from the training seminars. Of course, you could also use the tickets for the vacation of your dreams.
